So, a few days back I shared a google form asking people to fill out instances from there lives which they think have affected their lives in some or the other way. Below I will share all the responses of the instances that changed the lives of people in some or other ways.

But first, I would really like to thank all of them for being so sweet and so generous for taking out a few minutes of their lives to fill the form. I really am thankful to each one of you from the bottom of my heart.

So, now without further adieu let’s see the responses by these amazing people.

1. JoJoHall (@JoJoHall16) from
jojoscupofmocha.com says :

” I would say when I studied abroad back in 2015. I met so many amazing people, saw so many beautiful places and scenery, it just gave me so much joy and pleasure to travel the world and make memories! ”

2. Jupiter Hadley (@Jupiter_hadley) from jupiterhadley.com says:

“When I was 18, I moved from the small-town USA to England, all by myself. Just got into a plane and moved, because I didn’t want to be stuck in a dead-end town that sucks everyone up with them. I wanted adventure and to travel the world. Since then, I have been able to visit Germany, Spain, Sweden, Romania, and many more, and I get to live in England. It’s been amazing.”

3. H Emma ( @hazloe3 ) from thextraordinarionly.com says:

” A 3-day leadership worship by John C. Maxwell completely transformed my life – I still remember two statements he made …
‘try fit a square peg in a round hole’
‘a pig cannot fly, no matter how long the runaway is’!
My signed copy of ‘Failing Forward’ has so many dog ears”

4. Samantha Lyon ( @yetanothermummy) from yetanothermummyblog.com says:

” When I was 18 months old, we moved abroad as a family and I lived my entire childhood overseas, mostly in Turkey. It definitely shaped me into who I am today. I’d have been a completely different person if I never had those experiences and met those people. ”

5. SM ( @mymindvoice2 ) from mymindvoice.com says:

“My father’s sudden death 6 years ago. It taught me not to take people in our life for granted.”

I am so sorry to hear about this SM.

Believe it or not, even the tiniest of the things that happen to us shape us and our lives. Sometimes it’s good sometimes it bad. But everything teaches us a lesson.

It is very important to be grateful for whatever we have. Because trust me many people don’t even have that.

Wake up every morning and thank god for this beautiful life that he has given you and thank him that you get to live one more day. Make the most of your life.

Everything will be fine. You will one day get everything you deserve. Don’t stress too much for little things. Live your life buddy.

Trust me. Living is an art and not everyone can do it. It’s a fact.

Just don’t worry about the future or stress about the past. Savor each moment as it comes.

Always remember that not all rich and successful people are happy.

So, these were some instances that changed lives. The instances listed by these amazing people have affected them in some or other way. I wish them all the luck with whatever they do.

Also, thank you all for reading this post. Do share your thoughts below. I would love to read them.’

Bye-bye till the next time we meet. Till then stay safe, stay happy, and live.

The situation in which this world is right now because of the global pandemic is so heart wrenching. And it has given me some time to take a walk down the memory lane.

When I look back at life, there are so many things I think that makes me giggle. Also, there are few things that makes me so sad.

There are few things which I regret not doing and there are few things which I am so glad that they happened.

1. I am so glad that I graduated when there was no pandemic.

I graduated last year. And I can never forget my last day. Though I can really feel the sadness of every student who would he graduating this year.

I sometimes realize how lucky I am that I got to visit all those lasts of the university. The last meal with friends, the last exam, the last lecture, the last everything of the college. I could still remember myself clicking phots with each and every friend and of each and every corner of the college.
Nostalgia is still hitting hard while I am writing this.

2. I wish I have enjoyed a life a little more, when I walk down the memory lane

I really really wish that I have never said no to any plans. Being a person who worries a lot about every little thing, I wish I have not taken life too seriously and enjoyed every moment.

You never know when life will take a turn..and you will miss even the tiniest things that you always took for granted.

3. I should have never said no to learning.

Today, when I look back I realize I always had so much time in hand to learn something new. And I think the only problem was procastination.

4. I am glad I came at the right time to my home.

Had I not taken the decision to come back home at the right time I would have stuck alone without my family, and I don’t know how would I have handled myself. I am really so thankful to god that I am with my family right now.

The list is countless. And after all this I have become more thankful to god for everything he has given. Also, I now value life more. Also, friends and family matters a more now ( although for me they always did).

Thank you so much for visiting Interesting reads. Also, do tell me what do you guys regret and are thankful for when you take a walk down the memory lane.

We all must have heard about bhagvad gita. And for those of you who haven’t Bhagwat Gita is among the most religious texts of Hinduism. It is originally a part of great Indian epic Mahabharata. In this post I will share 5 teachings from Bhagavad Gita.

The Bhagavad Gita is a narrative that is told through a dialogue between Arjuna, a warrior, and his charioteer, Lord Krishna. Arjuna doubts whether he should go into battle and Krishna explains that he must fulfill his dharma, or duty, as a warrior. In his explanation, Krishna discusses various types of yoga, including Jnana, Bhakti, Karma and Raja.

Some consider the battle described in the Bhagavad Gita to be an allegory for human life.

Well, here are few teachings from Bhagwad gita that will definitely help you at some point in your life:

1. Drop hatred and aversion
Do not think that if there is no sense of hatred or aversion, then you will not be able to fight. It is not so. Hatred and aversion only make you weaker. A person filled with hatred may appear to be angry and very strong on the outside, but in reality he gets shaken and the mind becomes weak and unsteady.

When you fight, do not fight out of hatred and feverishness; instead fight with a firm determination and steady mind. There is a huge difference between these two states, When you fight, fight with full enthusiasm and also with total awareness. This is the spiritual path, this is Dharma.

2. Moderations, or taking the middle path.
Lord Krishna said, “One who works too much and one who is lazy, both cannot reach the height of yoga. Only those who walk the path of moderation can get out of misery”.
If you win, don’t lose your head and if you lose, don’t lose your heart. You keep your heart in the right place, your mind in the right place and still be happy.

3. One who always remember god without thinking anything else can easily realize the god.

4. The person who is desireless, free of ego and does not crave for possessions attains supreme peace.

5. Even if you are most sinful of all sinners, you would be able to cross the sea of evil and miseries, while (traveling) in the boat of transcendental wisdom (knowledge).

Thank you for visiting Interesting Reads. If you haven’t read gita till now trust me you should. You will thank me later.

You can read more about it here.

So, we all have been in situations where we have had conversations with people we don’t like and also with people who don’t like us. But, yeah, of course, we have to be nice to everyone. So, we say something that can be used as a conversation filler and will sound nice. So, here in this blog post, I have written what people say vs what they actually mean.

I hope you enjoy reading this post. Also, don’t forget to share some phrases that you use to people but don’t actually mean. I know there definitely will be some. So, do tell me (I will also try using them).

So, without wasting more time let’s begin.

1. I am very busy right now and will call you few minutes later.

Reality check: I am so freaking tired of listening to your voice. Dude, please give me rest, and don’t dare expect a call from me later.

2. How are you? I missed you so much, dear.

Reality check: I am really fine with or without you. Yeah, my life will really go on without you. That was just a rhetorical thing to say.

Well, before I started using my brains I used to believe everything that was said by my teachers or my parents or anyone without researching it. So, today I want to share 5 lies I grew up believing are true.

Trust me once you start researching about things, you may one day discover that your whole life is a lie.

So, here are 5 things that I always thought were true. But, with time I discovered they are not. Maybe you could relate to a few of them. Do tell me in the comments if you did relate to any of them.a

1. Humans come from monkeys

Well, we think that Charles Darwin said that humans come from monkeys. But, the reality is that he never said it directly. In his work “On the origin of species” he stated that monkeys, apes, and humans must have a common ancestor because of our great similarities compared to other species.

2. We have only five senses.

Well, some scientists insist that we have at least 21 senses including balance, pain, and temperature.

3. If you eat your nails a tree will grow inside your stomach.

I think most have us have heard this lie by our parents a million times during our childhood whenever we used to chew our nails, so that we stop our bad habit of eating nails.

4. Complan increases height.

No, No, No it doesn’t. But you can still drink it if plain milk sounds boring to you.

5. Bulls hate red.

Hmmm, ever ran away from a Bull because you were wearing red? Well, I did many times. But, Bulls are actually color blind. It’s not the color red. They actually perceive the motions of bullfighters cloth as a threat.

Well, those were the 5 lies that I grew up believing are true. I hope you could relate to some of them. Also, if there are any more lies that you always thought are true until now, do share them with me.

Bye, bye till the next time. Stay safe, stay happy, and stay positive.

Let me ask you this question. Are we all really what we think ourselves to be?

So many friendships, so many relationships ended because one person thought that the other person is fake.

Fake. We all hate fakeness. We all hate hate fake people. But, is anyone really real? Are we real? Are we all authentic?

Aren’t we all fake?
We all have a mask that we wear. And we wear it every single day.

Well, if it isn’t clear what does wearing a mask means. Then let me put it this way:
Ever been in a relationship and said you were single to all you close one’s? Well, my friend that’s wearing a mask. Ever loved green vegetables more than junk food and denied it? Well, my friend it’s wearing a mask. Ever wanted to help a person who was being bullied by everyone but you can’t instead you became a part of that bully gang. Then my dear friend it’s again wearing a mask.

Ever enjoyed doing something very much but can’t enjoy in front of others. Then that’s wearing a mask.

Well, I hope that now you got the idea of what wearing a mask means.
Well, we think that the mask we are wearing is in front of others. But the harsh truth is that we are what we impersonate.

Everyone of us have heard “Be Yourself”. But what does being yourself means? Do we really try to be ourselves or do we try to be the person that the society thinks is authentic.

I think we try to be a person according to the standards set by the society. Very few of us really know who we really are.

The irony here is that we are our true selves when we wear a mask. Ok, ok let me help you understanding this. Just think that you are with a full crowd of people, then you will behave a particular way. But if everyone is wearing a mask and you are free to do whatever you want then you will be you true selves.

Well, now again let me ask you Are we really what we think ourselves to be?

Well, sometimes it may be important to wear a mask in the same way as sometimes it’s important to tell someone a lie to protect them from the truth. But let’s stop wearing our masks for so long that even we forget who we really are.

Thank you for visiting Interesting Reads. Do tell me your thoughts in the comments below. I would love to read them.
