You will all agree that proper punctuation in every sentence matters a lot. But, have you ever imagined how hilarious confusion in our life would be without proper punctuations.

Yes, ofcourse, it won’t always be hilarious, punctuations also have the potential to be tragic.

I mean what if you said: “I like cooking dogs and kids”.
Instead of “I like cooking, dogs and kids”. ( Yup just a single comma did it all).

Now, let’s see some examples on how hilarious the confusion in our life would be without punctuations.

1. How a single comma can save lives.

Hilarious one: Time to eat children.

Correct one: Time to eat, children.

2. Hyphens matters.

Hilarious one: Hot water bottle.

Correct one: Hot-water bottle

3. Apostrophe can make you dinner.

Hilarious one: Eat. You’re dinner.

Correct one: Eat your dinner.

Correct one: I’m sorry; I love you.

5. A full stop at the wrong time might lead you to embarrassment.

Hilarious one: I don’t think. I’m funny.

Correct one: I don’t think I’m funny.

We all must have heard about bhagvad gita. And for those of you who haven’t Bhagwat Gita is among the most religious texts of Hinduism. It is originally a part of great Indian epic Mahabharata. In this post I will share 5 teachings from Bhagavad Gita.

The Bhagavad Gita is a narrative that is told through a dialogue between Arjuna, a warrior, and his charioteer, Lord Krishna. Arjuna doubts whether he should go into battle and Krishna explains that he must fulfill his dharma, or duty, as a warrior. In his explanation, Krishna discusses various types of yoga, including Jnana, Bhakti, Karma and Raja.

Some consider the battle described in the Bhagavad Gita to be an allegory for human life.

Well, here are few teachings from Bhagwad gita that will definitely help you at some point in your life:

1. Drop hatred and aversion
Do not think that if there is no sense of hatred or aversion, then you will not be able to fight. It is not so. Hatred and aversion only make you weaker. A person filled with hatred may appear to be angry and very strong on the outside, but in reality he gets shaken and the mind becomes weak and unsteady.

When you fight, do not fight out of hatred and feverishness; instead fight with a firm determination and steady mind. There is a huge difference between these two states, When you fight, fight with full enthusiasm and also with total awareness. This is the spiritual path, this is Dharma.

2. Moderations, or taking the middle path.
Lord Krishna said, “One who works too much and one who is lazy, both cannot reach the height of yoga. Only those who walk the path of moderation can get out of misery”.
If you win, don’t lose your head and if you lose, don’t lose your heart. You keep your heart in the right place, your mind in the right place and still be happy.

3. One who always remember god without thinking anything else can easily realize the god.

4. The person who is desireless, free of ego and does not crave for possessions attains supreme peace.

5. Even if you are most sinful of all sinners, you would be able to cross the sea of evil and miseries, while (traveling) in the boat of transcendental wisdom (knowledge).

Thank you for visiting Interesting Reads. If you haven’t read gita till now trust me you should. You will thank me later.

Well, before I started using my brains I used to believe everything that was said by my teachers or my parents or anyone without researching it. So, today I want to share 5 lies I grew up believing are true.

Trust me once you start researching about things, you may one day discover that your whole life is a lie.

So, here are 5 things that I always thought were true. But, with time I discovered they are not. Maybe you could relate to a few of them. Do tell me in the comments if you did relate to any of them.a

1. Humans come from monkeys

Well, we think that Charles Darwin said that humans come from monkeys. But, the reality is that he never said it directly. In his work “On the origin of species” he stated that monkeys, apes, and humans must have a common ancestor because of our great similarities compared to other species.

2. We have only five senses.

Well, some scientists insist that we have at least 21 senses including balance, pain, and temperature.

3. If you eat your nails a tree will grow inside your stomach.

I think most have us have heard this lie by our parents a million times during our childhood whenever we used to chew our nails, so that we stop our bad habit of eating nails.

4. Complan increases height.

No, No, No it doesn’t. But you can still drink it if plain milk sounds boring to you.

5. Bulls hate red.

Hmmm, ever ran away from a Bull because you were wearing red? Well, I did many times. But, Bulls are actually color blind. It’s not the color red. They actually perceive the motions of bullfighters cloth as a threat.

Who doesn’t loves greenery? Some of us have our home filled with plants. Yet, we are so unaware of them. So, this series of blog post is all about making everyone aware of the most common plants that I and most of you have in our homes. So, Welcome to part-3 of “Some facts about plants in my house”. And this time let’s find some benefits of Money plant. I am sure most of the households have Money plant in their house. So, it would be interesting to know some less known facts about them.

So, without further ado let’s find some benefits about the money plant:

1. The sap of Money plant is extremely poisonous. So, please be extremely careful while placing the plant and also keep it away from your pets and kids so that they don’t gulp it.

2. Many people roast the seeds of the Money plant and have it as a healthy snack. Also, the flowers(if you were thinking that money plant only has leaves then you were wrong, Money plant have a white and creamy flower with a strong fragrance.) and leaves of Money plant are used as vegetables.

3. It can remove toxins and harmful elements from the air, thus purifying it. So, if you have a Money plant in your house you will receive an increased supply of oxygen.

4. It helps reduce anxiety and sleep disorders. So, if you have any of these problems keep a money plant in your bedroom or living room.

5. Now, the last fact that I think every one of you might be familiar with is that it is supposed to increase the wealth if kept indoors. But, one of the most bizarre facts about Money plant is that to get it’s most benefit it must be stolen from someone else’s garden.

Let me ask you this question. Are we all really what we think ourselves to be?

So many friendships, so many relationships ended because one person thought that the other person is fake.

Fake. We all hate fakeness. We all hate hate fake people. But, is anyone really real? Are we real? Are we all authentic?

Aren’t we all fake?
We all have a mask that we wear. And we wear it every single day.

Well, if it isn’t clear what does wearing a mask means. Then let me put it this way:
Ever been in a relationship and said you were single to all you close one’s? Well, my friend that’s wearing a mask. Ever loved green vegetables more than junk food and denied it? Well, my friend it’s wearing a mask. Ever wanted to help a person who was being bullied by everyone but you can’t instead you became a part of that bully gang. Then my dear friend it’s again wearing a mask.

Ever enjoyed doing something very much but can’t enjoy in front of others. Then that’s wearing a mask.

Well, I hope that now you got the idea of what wearing a mask means.
Well, we think that the mask we are wearing is in front of others. But the harsh truth is that we are what we impersonate.

Everyone of us have heard “Be Yourself”. But what does being yourself means? Do we really try to be ourselves or do we try to be the person that the society thinks is authentic.

I think we try to be a person according to the standards set by the society. Very few of us really know who we really are.

The irony here is that we are our true selves when we wear a mask. Ok, ok let me help you understanding this. Just think that you are with a full crowd of people, then you will behave a particular way. But if everyone is wearing a mask and you are free to do whatever you want then you will be you true selves.

Well, now again let me ask you Are we really what we think ourselves to be?

Well, sometimes it may be important to wear a mask in the same way as sometimes it’s important to tell someone a lie to protect them from the truth. But let’s stop wearing our masks for so long that even we forget who we really are.

Everyone of us have a different story. And through these stories we learn some important lessons. Given below are few of the life lessons I have learned till now. Hope these will help someone.

1. Don’t take anything for granted. (Yes, this is the most important life lesson I have learned till now.)

I know it sounds very cliché but it is true. Respect what you have at present because you may lose it the very next moment.
Appreciate your parents, your friends, your relatives and everyone because nobody stays in your life forever. Be
happy, it’s free.Try to appreciate the little things in life because you will never know when they will turn into only memories.

2. Your health comes first.

There are so many times when we give importance to our work or studies and less attention to our health. We create so much pressure on ourselves and want to achieve so much in life that sometimes we forget to appreciate this beautiful gift called life. It’s important to have your priorities straight and your own health should always be your first priority.

3. Patience is a virtue.

Me being an extremely impatient person can very well tell you that patience is really a virtue. The more impatient you are the more are the more chances that you will spoil every work you do.

4. Nobody really cares about you except your parents.

I know it is very heart breaking to know this but nothing can be more true than this. Only your parents genuinely cares about you and nobody else. No matter how close the other person is to you. The real love always comes through parents.

And one more thing. I hate to admit it but your parents are always right. They may not be as technology savvy as you are but they have seen life in a far better way than you have. Trust them.

5. It doesn’t hurts to be kind.

Sometimes we are so busy in our lives that we often take out our frustation on others. But you will be amazed to know that even if you send a single message to someone, reading which they can feel happy I can’t tell you how grateful you will feel. It really never hurts to be kind.

How are you all? Well, everyone has experienced the feeling of weekend going to be over and we all know it’s the worst feeling ever. Don’t worry I some tips here on how to make your monotonous job interesting.

No one ( I mean ofcourse except those people who want to be the employee of the year) wants to go back to their 9 hrs working jobs where they have to just sit in front of their computers all day long and do the same boring stuff again and again. And keep hearing their bosses who definitely refuse to listen and understand you. And I know some companies do allow work from home. But I mean who really wants to work while being at home.

Deep down all of us have passion to do something different, different from this monotonous job. But, we are not courageous enough to choose our passion as a career option. Hence, we follow the ongoing legacy of office jobs. Because ,you know, that’s the safest option, no hard work needed to prove yourself. Just sit in front of the computer and no one even cares about your existence.

But now what to do? How to enjoy this life that we have chosen for us? Don’t worry I have come to your rescue.
We all know and can understand how boring can a monotonous job be. Well, I have some amazing tips which will help you breàk the boredom of your job and increase your productivity. So, here are some tips on how to make your monotonous job interesting.

1. Keep updating your playlist: I know not everyone is a fan of listening music. But, trust me listening music is a great stress reliever. But, listening to the same old songs again and again can bore you. So, it’s important that you keep updating your playlist. Play songs you love. You can even twerk on your favourite line. It will lift up your mood for sure.

2. Make a new friend: Being with the same people for so many days also creates boredom. Have some friends outside of your team so that you have more topics to discuss on apart fom just work.

3. Learn a new hobby: There are many times when we have absolutely nothing to do. Why not utilize that time by learning a new hobby like drawing, or writing a blog or anything going to the office gym or to the sports room. And if your office doesn’t have a games room why not bring stuff from your home ( like rubics cube or a football etc) so that you can enjoy playing them when free.

4. Take breaks: Avoid sitting at your desks for long hours. Take short breaks like go for short walk or take a fruit break or go to fill your water bottle. And remember to always stay hydrated. Don’t forget your health.

5. Make your desk beautiful: Imagine a desk full of quotes from your favourite movie or a desk having your favorite plant. I mean it could be anything. I know you would crave to go to that desk.

6. If nothing works, just leave it:

I know it’s hard to get a job in the first place and the thought of leaving it may cross your mind some or the other time but due to various reasons you can’t leave your job.

But trust me if you really passionate about something and you believe yourself that you can do wonders in that field, leaving you 9 to 5 job will be the best option you have ever made. And you would not regret that decision. If you are worrying about how not lose your cool while being unemployed, I have some amazing resources for you here:
