I hope that you and your family are in good health. In this post I will share some tips to be mentally fit during quarantine.

We know that being in this lockdown can be extremely tough for many of us.

Especially, for people who are stuck far from home and are alone. Or who have a habit of going out every day, every week or every weekend or who have a fear that they will lose their jobs.

But, let’s all come together during this time and help each other. Here, are some tips to be mentally fit during quarantine.

1. Try to get up at your usual routine:

Sleeping for too long can also have a bad impact on your overall health. Try doing some exercise daily. You don’t have to do something heavy. It can be as simple as taking a walk in your garden or your terrace or balcony etc.

2. Don’t worry if you think you won’t have a job:

There are many freshers who are thinking that due to this there will be less job opportunities for them. And there are many working people who are afraid of losing their jobs.

I totally understand it. It’s true that many sectors are in loss. But, we can’t deny the fact that many sectors are blooming too like telecom etc.

If less jobs will be left in one sector then there would be enormous jobs in other. Trust yourself. You will survive it. You are not alone.

3. Learn a new skill:

I hear this quote being viral on social media which says something like this: “If you don’t come out from this lock down with a new skill, you never lacked time, you lacked discipline.”

So, let’s all try to be more productive and learn things which we were never able to learn because of less time. I know it’s hard. But, what if you survive this phase? Won’t you be disappointed in yourself for not making use of it?

4. Spend time with your near and dear one:

Let’s try and spend as much time with our close ones as possible. Let’s share our pains together because there is no one like family. Believe me no one would understand you better than them.

5. Let’s not just keep watching news 24*7:

I mean it’s extremely important to be updated with the latest information. But, these days at whatever time you will open you news channel or social media it will be full of information with coronavirus. Let’s try and give our minds a break from it.

I hope you all are in good health. And are not stepping out of your homes until extremely necessary. In this blog post you will find some tips to stay calm during quarantine.

So, for most of us living indoors for so much of time can really get to our heads and it can have negative impact on our heath due to decreased physical activity.

Here, I have some tips that will help us to stay calm during quarantine.

1. Let’s try and not watch news continuously.

As soon as we turn on any news channel everywhere we will keep hearing the news about coronavirus. I mean, it’s okay to be updated about the current situation but focusing all our mental energy on it ain’t gonna help.

2. Let’s take out time to do some exercise.

Since, all of us are locked down in or homes. Because of this there is decrease in our physical activity which can definitely have negative impact on our healths. So it is very important that we take out some time to exercise.

There are many exercising and yoga videos available on you tube for free, we can make use of them.

3. Meditate.

Not only physical but mental health also is equally important. In this situation we definitely are worried about the well being of us and our closed ones. But worrying about a situation that we can’t control will not help. Just take the necessary precautions and remember we are all in this together.

4. Eat healthy.

I know when we have nothing to do. We just want to eat. But be extremely careful about what you eat. Avoid eating junk as much as possible. And take proper care of your diet

5. Don’t forget to Stay Connected.

Don’t you think that we are an extremely lucky generation because we live in a time when we are virtually connected with each other so so much.
Let’s make use of that and keep asking oour friends and family about their health.

6. Don’t avoid social media.

Social media is not all bad, it can have both positive as well as negative impact. We can use it to be inspired positively or start any online business.

7. Inculcate a new habit.

As we have a nice portion of time in our hands we can use this to inculcate a new habit. We can utilize time by reading some books, learning to play an instrument, learning drawing, learning cooking etc.

These were some tips that I thought will help everyone. If you know any more tips please do share them in the comments.

Also here is a link of WHO’s site which will help you:

How are you all? Well, everyone has experienced the feeling of weekend going to be over and we all know it’s the worst feeling ever. Don’t worry I some tips here on how to make your monotonous job interesting.

No one ( I mean ofcourse except those people who want to be the employee of the year) wants to go back to their 9 hrs working jobs where they have to just sit in front of their computers all day long and do the same boring stuff again and again. And keep hearing their bosses who definitely refuse to listen and understand you. And I know some companies do allow work from home. But I mean who really wants to work while being at home.

Deep down all of us have passion to do something different, different from this monotonous job. But, we are not courageous enough to choose our passion as a career option. Hence, we follow the ongoing legacy of office jobs. Because ,you know, that’s the safest option, no hard work needed to prove yourself. Just sit in front of the computer and no one even cares about your existence.

But now what to do? How to enjoy this life that we have chosen for us? Don’t worry I have come to your rescue.
We all know and can understand how boring can a monotonous job be. Well, I have some amazing tips which will help you breàk the boredom of your job and increase your productivity. So, here are some tips on how to make your monotonous job interesting.

1. Keep updating your playlist: I know not everyone is a fan of listening music. But, trust me listening music is a great stress reliever. But, listening to the same old songs again and again can bore you. So, it’s important that you keep updating your playlist. Play songs you love. You can even twerk on your favourite line. It will lift up your mood for sure.

2. Make a new friend: Being with the same people for so many days also creates boredom. Have some friends outside of your team so that you have more topics to discuss on apart fom just work.

3. Learn a new hobby: There are many times when we have absolutely nothing to do. Why not utilize that time by learning a new hobby like drawing, or writing a blog or anything going to the office gym or to the sports room. And if your office doesn’t have a games room why not bring stuff from your home ( like rubics cube or a football etc) so that you can enjoy playing them when free.

4. Take breaks: Avoid sitting at your desks for long hours. Take short breaks like go for short walk or take a fruit break or go to fill your water bottle. And remember to always stay hydrated. Don’t forget your health.

5. Make your desk beautiful: Imagine a desk full of quotes from your favourite movie or a desk having your favorite plant. I mean it could be anything. I know you would crave to go to that desk.

6. If nothing works, just leave it:

I know it’s hard to get a job in the first place and the thought of leaving it may cross your mind some or the other time but due to various reasons you can’t leave your job.

But trust me if you really passionate about something and you believe yourself that you can do wonders in that field, leaving you 9 to 5 job will be the best option you have ever made. And you would not regret that decision. If you are worrying about how not lose your cool while being unemployed, I have some amazing resources for you here:

https://the-shortlisted.co.uk/how-not-be-crazy-when-unemployed-jobless.

Do give it a read.

We love to post every detail of our lives on our favorite platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, snap chat, etc. Somewhere deep down we know that it is not safe to post our information there. But, we don’t know how to protect our privacy. Don’t worry in this post I will tell you some tips on protecting social media privacy.

But with this, we give access to the major portion of our lives information to the people who are from outside our friend and family circle.

So, how can we protect our privacy? Well, here are some tips:

1. Read the social media site’s terms

Pay attention to what information you are agreeing to share when you sign up for a social media account.

Carefully read all the terms and conditions before clicking on the accept button.

2. Use unique passwords for each social network.

Although, it’s a lot of pain to do so. But just imagine if hackers get access to one of your passwords it means they have access to all your social media platforms.

3. Use the block button.

When a spammer follows you and sends you links don’t just ignore them. Block that person and report that account as spam. It will make the social networking site monitor their actions and if many people report their account as spam, the social networking site will remove that account.

4. Don’t share private information like your full name address

As silly as it may sound but just your full name can help cyber criminals to find your Gmail address or even find your password. This can lead to inject ing malware in your devices.

5. Be careful about posting photos on social media sites

Think multiple times before posting any photo on the social media platforms.

Consider the scenario: you posted your child’s photo with their school name printed on their t-shirts. Well, after that it wouldn’t take a genius to track your child’s location.

6. Adjust the social media platform privacy settings.
